It’s a 100% plant-based solution formulated from the pith and peel of an orange that is added to water to cleanse and purify it and works across various water treatments, from drinking water to swimming pool sanitisation.

Chlorine and other chemical-based disinfectants and detergents are rapidly becoming a thing of the past. While they have proved incredibly successful at decontaminating and purifying water, we’re now seeing a shift in their success. Several bacteria and organic substances have now developed a Biofilm resistance to these detergents, affecting their overall performance.

As a result, a recent government-backed study has just started, led by three central water authorities and their respective Universities (Glasgow, Leeds, and Sheffield). The study will compare the efficacy of chlorine versus our solution.

These trials and tests confirm that the Bioshield solution, kills bacteria, including Listeria monocytogenes and Legionella pentoaceticus (NCTC 11192). Effective in the presence of organic matter, i.e., biofilm, where the Bioshield solution breaks down the biofilm to reach the pathogenic organisms.
